Isn't All Religion Nonsense?
That is what most people seem to think. It is what I used to think. It is the sum total of the "world's opinion" on "religion" as a whole.
What I realize now is the reasonwhy that is the "world's view".
View implies "what something looks like". And to "the world" at large, all religions can indeed "look", in general, like:
---a system of practices...based on beliefs that are based on unintelligent doctrines.
That is what I used to think, yet I could NOT clearly tell you what those beliefs or doctrines were; I just knew a thing or two... or RATHER, I had HEARD a thing or two, and believed those "explanations" for the whole issue. Then attached some Dis dain and emotional hostility, and despised it as "unintelligent deception for the unintelligent to believe when they shouldn't", because after all, we all "know" it's not true, right?
Exactly HOW do we "know" this??
I thought I knew; bc of our great science, and how since through it we know how so many things in life and nature do what they do, ... I guess we now know we came to be through evolution from apes...therefore, that seems to immediately eliminate any validity to the Biblical concept of "Creation by God", right?
This is how I KNEW IT! And most people think that too. But it's not because we all individually analyze the situation until we all conclude this for ourselves.
Th truth is we are TAUGHT this "conclusion" right off the bat; we are bombarded with it in all areas of life; media (TV, magazines, newspapers), school (textbooks, etc), and plain philosophical thought.
However, when many of us have actually come to a crossroads and decide to go looking for just how believable a religion is (either one in particular, or just "surveying" all religions together), most of us are AMAZED at how distinct religions can be, and how much more "documentable" and "believable" one religion is above all the rest.
And ultimately, only one has such a compelling weight of evidence.
Read on to see which it is...
